The Charles Causley Festival is delighted to welcome back Rob Barratt: a comic poet, humourist and singer from North Cornwall (but born and bred in Dudley). Rob combines clever word-play, verse and song with satire, parody and audience participation. He deals with such important topics as squid, second homes, data-driven education, TV chefs, conceptual art, Marmite, distressed furniture and tuk-tuks.
Rob has appeared at folk, literature and arts festivals all over the UK, and in Ireland and Australia.
“This is not only clever but I think it’s very funny.” (Mike Harding)
“His head is well and truly located in “Planet Barratt,” clearly a place of wonderfully bizarre inspiration.” (‘Coventry Telegraph’)
“So clever it’s daft.“ (Telltales, Falmouth, Cornwall)
